COMPETITION PREPARATION FOR USKA AND IKF SINGERS
KaraokeAssist brings together the song, track, range, competition history, rules, readiness, and preparation details that USKA and IKF competitors usually have to piece together for themselves. Its first competitor-facing Controlled Alpha opens October 1, 2026, through personal invitation.
KaraokeAssist is currently being developed independently for USKA and IKF competitors using published competition information. It is not an official USKA or IKF product today. Future collaboration is welcome around rules, event information, and connected services.
PRIVATE, INVITATION-ONLY ALPHA
The first competitor-facing Controlled Alpha opens October 1, 2026, for invited Illinois finalists actively preparing for the national competition in Las Vegas. Eligibility for this initial invitation is based on independently confirmed advancement. KaraokeAssist manages invitations, access, and the initial Alpha experience. Future collaboration with USKA or IKF may shape how official rules, event information, and related services are maintained.
Inside, participants keep a competition Profile, Working Songs, track details, keys and ranges, Competition Plans, readiness notes, and an event Slate together. Competition Context and the Companion help connect that work without making the choice for the singer.
A competition performance is more than a title. A Slate brings together the recording, actual track, key and range, timing, event and round, relevant history, rule and eligibility notes, readiness, and why each choice belongs.
Primary and Backup choices stay connected to the Competition Plan, so a change in one place shows what deserves another look.
THE KARAOKEASSIST COMPANION
The KaraokeAssist Companion is an AI preparation assistant powered by OpenAI models. Ask about a song, compare track choices, work through a Slate gap, or bring it the question that has kept you stuck.
After you unlock your Competitor Vault, your full private preparation context is available inside that authenticated browser session. Companion can work across your Profile, Competition Plans, Working Songs, Slates, research, history, rules, notes, readiness, and continuing conversation as one connected preparation record instead of a collection of isolated chats.
Companion Pro is an always-no-cost preparation workspace for invited, current competitors actively preparing for a confirmed USKA or IKF event. Pro describes the feature set and continuing preparation context, not a paid plan, status designation, or organizational endorsement.
INSIDE THE CONTROLLED ALPHA
Event History, the focused Song Library, verified public performance links, and Published Rules come together inside the Controlled Alpha.
Competition Context connects covered national and qualifier events, the songs submitted or performed there, available results and recognition, public recordings when verified, and published rules and eligibility information.
KaraokeAssist currently assembles that context from available public information. Gaps remain visible, published source pages remain the reference, and history can show where or how recently a song appeared without pretending to predict what happens next.
Published competition history and private preparation are different things. Event entries, submitted or performed songs, results, recognition, and verified public performance links may appear as sourced competition context. A participant's Profile, Competition Plans, Slates, notes, readiness work, and Companion conversations remain inside that participant's encrypted Competitor Vault. None of that private preparation becomes public history or another singer's research material.
Context can inform a decision. It cannot make the decision for the singer.
CONTEXT, PRIVACY, AND COLLABORATION
Private preparation lives in an encrypted Competitor Vault that the participant unlocks in the browser. KaraokeAssist keeps no content key and no readable server-side copy.
KaraokeAssist has no subscription, advertising, sale of personal data, founder profit, or paid influence. If capacity has to remain limited, access will be narrowed rather than sold. The point is to help a competitor prepare, then get out of the way when it is time to go sing.
A PERSONAL NOTE
For most of my life, singing anywhere but alone in the car felt impossible. At 48, a promise to my mom before she died put me on a stage for the first time and gave me reason to believe there was something worth developing.
Fear did not disappear. It took another couple of years to try karaoke, and those first attempts were rough. The BloNo karaoke community made room for me anyway. Their encouragement kept me returning and eventually led me to the inaugural IKF Karaoke Cup in 2023, where that welcome continued.
KaraokeAssist is what one form of gratitude became: not repayment, but a freely offered tool for the next singer. My hope is that it brings more context, more confidence, and a little less uncertainty to someone stepping onto a stage they never expected to reach.

KaraokeAssist is a permanent no-cost, noncommercial project from the developing collective called TJ Carle Jr, a name that carries a larger story. This page only needs the part that became a working tool for singers.

Private development and internal testing are underway. The first competitor-facing Controlled Alpha opens October 1, 2026, for invited Illinois finalists advancing to Las Vegas. Each personal invitation is intended for one participant. Signing in does not create eligibility or guarantee continued access.
Invited participants use the same ChatGPT account connected to their personal invitation. During this initial Alpha, KaraokeAssist manages invitations and product access.
